 Advancements in Panasonic's proprietary Dry-Type lubricant and robust Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) film development dramatically boost the tape's durability  for high speed shuttling, still  frame and professional editing. A surface treatment extends VTR head life and reduces head clogging and dropouts.

Packaged in a rugged side-locking chard case to increase tape protection and prevent against accidental opening. The Case's non-slip ribbed finish and special grooves allow for safe tape stacking and carrying within the production facility. 

Designed to provide reliable and high-quality professional miniDV recording, the new US-market-only PQUS tape series utilizes an Advanced Metal Evaporation (AME) technology that provides a high signal output, consistent durability and optimal tape-to-head contact.

New to the PQUS series: a precision-engineered cassette shell molded of ABS resin, which prevents warpage and cassette housing damage, and provides tough impact-resistant durability; an anti static cassette treatment, which repels dust and contaminants, minimizing dropouts; and a durable, 2-way opening case made from a soft resin that will no beak if dropped. The 2-way lid construction enables users to easily extract the tape with one hand, even while shooting. 

DV Master Quality HDV/DV/DVCAM tape provides unprecedented performance and enhanced durability for recording in HD mode. The Panasonic MQ maintains a high output level for more than 240 minutes of still-frame playback, approximately 60 minutes longer than consumer DVC tapes. The MQ tape also maintains a lower tape-to-head friction ratio than conventional DVC for longer head life and stable tape transport. The tape comes in a 2-way opening case that makes it easy to extract tapes with one hand.
